Where did everybody go?
Once I felt I wasn't just the only one
Things were supposed to turn out different than they did
Where did everybody go?
 
We would turn the world around
And turn it has many thousand times since then
How things changed us while they stayed the same
How we turned the world around!
 
An endless road with Fortune gleaming
Or mindless bridge of ash and bone?
Was there a day when you stopped dreaming?
Was there a night you weren't alone?
 
While I'm waiting out the rain
I still recall voices that are distant now
How you always come into my heart
